How quickly can I get my fleet set up?
Most customers are tracking their vehicles within 2–3 days of signing up. Our technicians handle the hardware installation — you don't need to know anything technical. Once the device is fitted, you're live immediately. We'll walk you through the platform in under 30 minutes, and our South African support team is on hand if you have any questions.
Do I need to replace my current hardware?
Not necessarily. If you have existing ACM Track-compatible tracking devices, they can often be migrated to the fleet management platform without hardware changes. We'll assess your current setup at no cost before recommending anything.
Can I track both light vehicles and heavy trucks?
Yes. ACM Track works with all vehicle types — bakkies, sedans, panel vans, LDVs, semi-trucks, and trailers. We also track non-powered assets via our mobile asset solution.
How does driver behaviour scoring work?
Our devices record G-force events (acceleration, braking, cornering) and GPS-based speeding. Each event is weighted by severity, and a composite score out of 100 is calculated per trip and per driver over any time period. Scores are visible on the dashboard and sent as automated reports.
Can I restrict private use of company vehicles?
Yes. Geofence zones, after-hours movement alerts, and driver assignment (with key fob or driver ID) let you enforce and audit vehicle usage policies. Out-of-hours movement triggers instant alerts to your nominated contacts.
Does the system integrate with our existing software?
Enterprise plans include API access for integration with ERP systems, TMS platforms, and HR software. We've integrated with popular South African business platforms — contact us to discuss your specific stack.
What happens if a tracking device loses signal?
Our devices store data locally when no network connection is available and sync automatically when connectivity is restored. For areas with known coverage gaps, we can recommend devices with alternative network configurations.
